Chrome Steel Flanges is the chrome-moly desk of Texas Flange & Fittings Inc., a Houston flange supplier machining industrial pipe flanges since 1986.
Texas Flange supplies ASME and non-code industrial pipe flanges for the petrochemical, process and waterworks industries, in sizes from 1/2 inch through 203 inches and across pressure classes from 75 up through API 20K. Material test reports are available on every grade we ship.
Chrome-moly is where flange supply stops being a catalog exercise. The grades from F1 through F91 exist because the service is hot, or full of hydrogen, or full of sulfur, and often all three. Refinery hydroprocessing, catalytic reforming, power boiler and main steam piping. These are the places where a flange failure is not a housekeeping problem.
What matters on this work is not just pulling the right grade. It is the chemistry restrictions that hydroprocessing specifications impose, the heat treatment condition and class, the hardness limits, and the preheat and post weld heat treatment the grade demands during fabrication. Chrome-moly punishes shortcuts, and it punishes them years later rather than at hydrotest.
We hold that discipline, we document it, and we say plainly when a specification is asking for something the grade will not deliver.

The full grade range
A182 F1, F5, F5a, F9, F91, F11, F12, F21 and F22, in the classes the standard defines.
Restricted chemistry
J-factor and X-bar controlled material for hydroprocessing service, with step cooling where specified.
Heat treatment control
Normalized and tempered or quenched and tempered as the class requires, with certified condition.
Hardness and NACE
Hardness limits held and reported, including sour service requirements per NACE MR0175 and ISO 15156.
Large diameter and custom
B16.47 Series A and B patterns, long weld necks, studding outlets, and print work through 203 inches.
Certification
MTRs on all grades, with specification revision, impact testing and third party witness where required.
